  1. Cebu Philippines Expat Says:

The University of San Carlos is certainly the most prominent school in Cebu Philippines. I like what they have done with the exterior appearance, the color scheme is really good.

  4. Alfred Dulfo Says:

Only if VECO will get rid of the pesky-looking electrical lines streaming in the area then yes, i’d say the new paint looks good. Otherwise, la epek gihapon. It doesn’t really matter though. I miss USC a lot. Spent 6 wonderful years on this campus right here :)

  5. Cebuano Says:

I agree electrical lines are a bane in to the eyesight as well as to the safety of the pedestrians.

  6. Raquel Says:

Electric cables should really be underground. Wish Cebu (or the phil for that matter) had good sewer, cable system.
    Na magbaroto na lang ko.

i was planning to transfer at USC. is it nice? how’s the academic facilities? is it good?

  15. yen Says:

can anybody give me some words of encouragement? hihi. anyways, what are the things needed in transferring at USC? credentials?

  16. Cebuano Says:

Grades, your reputation when you were in previous or current school. But it also depends on the College (of Engineering/Architecture/etc..)

There was a guy who attempted to transfer to USC Architecture, he was from a top university in Manila. But he what got there in the Archi office were words like “What do you think of USC?!”, “We are not some second option school after you got rotten from your university!”

I hope that encourages you hehehe..

  17. Cebuano Says:

I graduated in 1997, but have not returned there to see the facilities. But based on what I hear, and recent developments in USC-TC campus, it’s all good daw.

  18. ann Says:

YES, yen it has the best facilities. I’m a graduate student of USC now and I also had my undergrad in the same school. I also had of course very good professors.

  19. concern Says:

usc?? for me, usc is good..but about moral aspects of the students i think they are trained but students do not put it in mind.why??think for this,  I was waiting for a jeep around 3 pm with the usc students.
after a while, a lady fron Cebu Normal University passed by in front of us.
then a group of guys says… “sexiha uie, gwapa, chicks kaau….sayang!!taga CNU lang!!??”
    isn’t insulting??
but, when the gurl heard it, she returned and said..
“unxay pagtoo ninyu??dato pud raba mi sa amo… ayaw mo pagpanghinambog dra.kay cguro naka skwela mog usc pero uban pd guro ninyu naglisud nag bayad..’f i know uban sa inyu, pahambog ra kunuhay kay usc… suri to say, but “kami man gud sa CNU wa mi nangita ug quantity..ang amo lang quality…” FEELER!!!(sabay layas.)
    Guys……..think for it…
Why i am trying to say this??it is because i just want to remind u guys nga pls..respeto.ay sab tah..pareho rapd baya ta estudyante…ayaw dad.a ang atong pagka donya og donyo sa atoa sa gawas…iya2 baya tag paningkamotay sagdii rana sila..dili baya kamo ang nagbuhi nila..tinooud, in.ana ka ron, hambog kaau ka kay dato ka..pero, if i will ask u, kanang kwarta ba nga allowance nimu, IMUHA NA? GIHAGUAN NIMU NAH?dile dba,, panigkamotay rane ato mga dudes… ug wa kay matabang, ay nag dghan storya nga pakaulawan pa nimu ang usa ka tao sa dghang tao…
remember, CNU, gamay rag curso pero, dekalidad man sab tanan curso ilang g offer..the best school for teachers, and recently, top 1 performing school for nursing in the philippines.
.actually, student ko from Cebu Doctors’ University , and concern lang ko..naloouy jd ko sa taga CNU nga gipakauwawan sa dghang tao… CNU is great..naa man gud koy friend taga cnu and she is really very good..

  21. Cebuano Says:

It depends on what course. USC is good in Architecture, Chemical Engineer, Pharmacy and Accounting. But still it’s the students performance and the school just second.
