Giligan’s Island Unfair Rule

May 10th, 2010 | 4 Comments | Posted in Restaurants

Was at Giligan’s Island in The Terrraces in Ayala with friends. I really liked their food. I first tasted their food in Manila.

While waiting for our food, i saw the the sign below. Then when I looked outside, i saw two white foreigners drinking liquor and the other one wearing shorts. The tables outside are still part of Giligan’s Island.

The stupid sign.

A testament that indeed Pinoys worship the foreigners, especially the blond ones.

White foreigners reading this blog, please don’t be offended, it’s the Filipinos’ inconsistency is what i don’t like.

Mao jud kadaot natong mga pinoy, basta mga caucation race gani, ok lang to violate rules but if kapwa pinoy gani, singhagan dayon. That is why it is so hard for some of our fellow pinoy to grow because of our crab mentality . Here in singapore, rule is rule, whether singapore, malay, indian, pinoy, cebuano (Lahi jud cebuano noh kay special man hehehe) or caucation, priso jud basta makasala. No wonder kung unsa kagamay ang singapore, ingon ana sab siya ka progresive.

It’s not only the Gilligan’s Island, there are restaurants in Cebu City that discriminating their fellow Cebuano customers by not serving them properly or ignoring your presence inside of their establishment. It seems that you don’t belong to that damn fucking restaurant like Don Henricos in Ayala.  There is no QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE in that restaurant and its really unfair to brown people. Maayo pa manglangyaw mo mga tontoha mo para makatilaw mo on how these caucasians discriminate you in their own land. That time when I came in, I saw 6 waiters and waitresess, but they saw no one came to order their damn pizza. When I sat down, no one bothers to  give some menu list for about an hour until I left nothing to eat. I saw white people came in and they actively approached them with warm welcome ” HELLO SIR /MA’AM WELCOME TO DON HENRICOS, WE HAVE AVAILABLE SEATS HERE FOR TWO” Is this how the owner/restaurant manager trained you about dealing and serving your customers? Mo entertain lang ug puti ug chinito eyes ug ang sigag mata nga gapislat ang ilong pareha ninyo dinha dili ninyo tagdon. Maypa manira mo kun mamili diay mo’g customers. I could have spend a thousand pesos that time because I’m starving and craving for pizza.  So kamo mga waiters/waitresses ug inyong mga amo mga nawong ug $$$$$$$$. Tip, tip tip ug pila ray sweldo, gahilas hilas. but those assholes didn’t gave you tips. MINGHOY!!!!! So whatever customers who will come to your establishment, you should serve them with quality service to the fullest. Kay kana nisulod sa mahalon nga restaurant, may kwarta na. Ayaw tan awa ang itsura, tan awa ang bulsa o pitaka kay mga nawong man mo’g mga kwarta. Hinumdumi nga may fangit nga kwartahan so ayaw ninyo pilia.  But I’m not belong to the world of fangits like you in Don henricos.

My very beautiful Cebuana wife and me, an ugly ilocano from the north, did not have any unpleasant experience, such as Shirley Nicole’s, while visiting Cebu city lately. We were all over the place: Ayala, SM, level 8, waterfront, and many other fine places and restaurants/ballrooms in Lapu-lapu city/Mactan island. We’ve always gotten great service and treated with utmost respect. But I think there is plenty of truth about pinoys breaking the rules when it comes to foreign customers. The foreigners, too, have an obligation to respect the rules and not take advantage!

Unfortunately, Giligan’s Island does not have a website or email so i could send this link to them.
