I’m a student at CNU…I like the trainings they give to students but sad to say that there are some professors especially in graduate school who are often absent in their classes.
Maybe they are so busy that they cannot handle some of their classes but it’s not fair to students because we are wasting money and time with these kind of teachers.

Asil – I am a student of Cebu Normal University right from my kindergarten years and up to my years in master’s education. And yes, we had and they continue to have practice teachers up to now, and yes most CNU ST graduates are one of the most sought after teachers in Cebu. Thus there is really nothing to fear with the way they have practice teachers.
Felipa and Lyn, that was the least of my worries a decade ago, and even in the last school i taught which asked for more than 40K per student, nobody actually carried bags and loads for the students. I think schools does it as part of the kids training. Although during my kinder, elem, high school years in CNU, assignments were at the top of my list for worries, we had loads of them, one per subject and with that I learned to cope and work hard. Although I still have time for lallygagging.
Note: it only works if the child learns to love what he is doing.

I am just wondering if that school is really had a quality education??? I send there my 5 year daughter for K1 in my great surprise she had the same lessons for my 3 year old son who is a playgroup in other school. I’m not against with the public schools but how come we pay as much like in private schools. Another thing, they don’t allow the parents or yayas to get inside the school because there are student teachers to assists the kids but lately I have observed that there is none especially during Mondays and Thursdays whom the kids bring their 7 books and notebooks. It’s pitiful to see my little one carrying her bag with a lot of books for I know it is bulky on her age.

i guess caterine is right… regarless of what school you belong, the student must do his/her share. Me, i just came from City Central School but look at me now, i can say that i’m not far from reaching my dreams. The bottom line is, work hard and later you will have your time…

ask lang ko if maau ba ang training sa Normal for preschool.naa man gud gaingon na practisan ra daw sa mga student teacher ang mga bata..sayang sad a2 bayad….
