Deuteronomio 5:     7 ” ‘Huwag kang sasamba sa ibang diyos, maliban sa akin.

               8 ” ‘Huwag kang gagawa ng diyus-diyosang imahen ng anumang nilalang na nasa langit, nasa lupa, o nasa tubig upang sambahin. 9 Huwag mo silang yuyukuran ni sasambahin sapagkat akong si Yahweh na iyong Diyos ay mapanibughuing Diyos. Ang kasalanan ng mga magulang ay sinisingil ko sa kanilang mga anak hanggang sa ikatlo at ikaapat na salinlahi.
2 Hari 17:     41 Sumamba nga sila kay Yahweh ngunit sumamba rin sila sa kanilang mga diyus-diyosan. Hanggang ngayo’y ganoon pa rin ang kanilang ginagawa maging ng kanilang mga kaapu-apuhan.
Jeremias 10: 3 Ang dinidiyos nila’y hindi maaasahan.
Isang punongkahoy na pinutol sa gubat,
inanyuan ng mga dalubhasang kamay,

4 at pinalamutian ng ginto at pilak.
Idinikit at pinakuan upang hindi mabuwal.

5 Ang mga diyus-diyosang ito’y
tulad sa panakot ng ibon sa gitna ng bukid, hindi nakakapagsalita;
pinapasan pa sila sapagkat hindi nakakalakad.
Huwag kayong matakot sa kanila
sapagkat hindi sila makakagawa ng masama,
at wala ring magagawang mabuti.”8 Silang lahat ay pawang hangal at mangmang.
Ano ang maituturo sa kanila ng mga diyus-diyosang kahoy?

9 Ang kanilang diyus-diyosa’y
binalutan ng pilak na galing sa Tarsis,
at ng gintong mula sa Upaz,
ginawang lahat ng mahuhusay na kamay;
pagkatapos ay binihisan ng kulay ube at pula
na hinabi naman ng manghahabing sanay.14 Sa harapan niya ang bawat tao’y mistulang mangmang;
malalagay sa kahihiyan bawat panday
sapagkat ang ginawa nilang mga diyus-diyosan
ay hindi totoo at walang buhay.

15 Sila’y walang silbi sapagkat likha lamang ng pandaraya;
wawasakin silang lahat ni Yahweh.

Just read your notes down here. I was in the States also in 1987 and left US in 1997.
My mother died last July 16, 2009 ans an American immigrant and my sister leaves in Hawaii.
Presently , I live in Cebu back to my homeland and starting my charity service for the developmentally disabled children here in the proviince.
Yes, I am also a church volunteer organist/cantor at Cebu cathedral..I am willing to extend my service whatever we can help u while staying in the Phils.

Hi…,

I’m 59 year old man; single and retired… practicing catholic and active in church community…

I have been considering to relocate in a more friendly and affordable country!!! Where I will be able to live a comfortable and relaxing life!!! For whatever time… God will give me!!!

I have been doing some research about the Philippines!!! And I’m getting very mixing and different information’s….

I’m planning a trip to Cebu in early September… and I would appreciate to have few first hand information’s regarding living in the Philippines!!! Before I make the trip;

Based on your personal experiences!!!
What would be necessary to live a comfortable life in a nice area in Cebu…?
It’s better living in the city??? or in the surround areas????
What would be to rent for a nice apartment… in a good neighborhood????
What would be the average fix-cost on the monthly base???
What you think that the average monthly food expenses would be???
How ease is to go around without a car… or it is necessary to have a personal transportation???
What would be the cost for cleaning services????
How is the health care in your areas????
And most of all how ease, would be for a foreigner to get accepted by the locals???

I would immensely appreciate any other necessary information’s that you may feel would be helpful to me!!!

Bai, how nice to look at the picture of a place that is so memorable to you. Pasayloa lang ko bai, grabe lang jud akong kamingaw sa Cebu. Im not a kind of a patriotic person but i realized bisan ug wala na kaayo ta klaro future sa Pinas, but it remains the number spot here in our lives, labi na ang Cebu.
